Default B20 engine camshaft change

Hello all,

Is it possible to change the camshaft in a b20 with the engine in the car?

Does anyone have a link to a good "how to" guide?

Thanks, John

The radiator will need to be removed and if you are replacing the camshaft with new then the followers will need to be removed which means head off.
As Kishor mentioned its fairly straightforward and easily encompassed over a weekend.

(I was tempted to ask which car - could be interesting in a PV!)

I´ve read that the fibre timing gears are likely to get weakened when removed so should be replaced

If I were you I´d get a copy of the workshop manual just in case

If you replace the timing gears go for the aluminum ones. The steel ones are too noisy.
