Default V90 1997 key fobs/alarm

Recently I changed the battery in my remote fob.Since then I have had difficulties with using the fob to lock and unlock the car. Today the four way flashers operated on a drive back home upon arriving the car would not lock on the fob and locking/unlocking with the key alone results in the flashers going twice it then cycles through lock and unlocking every couple of minutes.Ihave disconnected the battery but once re connectedit cycles thro lock and unlock. I now have removed fuse 23 (Central Locking)
Suggestions please as to the cause and solution welcome.

Default Resetting remotes

Look up on here or in the car book to see how to reset the fobs to the car. You have to turn ignition on for so many flashes from memory to get them to sync up again.

Default V90 fob control

I had a problem yesterday with my wife's fob! I obtained a new one from David Lowe (he has lots of spares having owned lots of V90s 1997/8 version plus some 960s ) and programmed it according to the instructions on page 2:7 in the owners manual and it worked fine. But when my wife tried to unlock the car her fob would not work! So I went through the whole process again for my fob, her fob and the broken one (only had a broken little strap). Now they all work OK. It seems it is necessary to re-programme all fobs at the same time for the same car which I had not realised. So I hope this experience helps others!

It does help, a lot! My V90 fob strap broke and now I have finally lost the fob as well. If the reprogramming does not involve a dealer and I still have one fob, can I reprogram a new one at home?

If yes, does anyone have a nice fob they could sell me please for a reasonable sum? Who is David Lowe?
