Default Heater Motor

Hi Guys

My Heater motor has packed up - lots of smoked when switched on.

I have removed it, and by hand it doesn't turn very smoothly either.

Need a new/recon one - does anyone know where to get the motor rewound/bearings changed?

If not - anyone got a spare going, for a reasonable price?

Cheers

Jason

Hi Jason ,

I have a company that can do that or I have good second hand ones if you need details or the secondhand one let me know buddy other than that I would try Brookhouse I’m sure Simon will have something also in stock like I say I don’t buy them normally I repair / recondition for customers or fit a good secondhand one in as needed .

But any good electrical repair place can handle it like that does starter motors or alternators

All the best buddy

Kind regards
Robert.w

I bought an uprated blower motor from Nordicar a few years back - not the cheapest option, but it puts out a nice strong breeze... clears the inside of the screen in the winter faster than the one in my girlfriend's 1999 V70.

Just had a look on their webshop and they don't seem to stock them anymore, sadly

Cost about £100 is IIRC and worth every penny IMO.
