Default XC60 Air suspension

My air suspension can thump a bit over not so smooth roads, I tend to think it's part of the XC60 make up rather than my car individually. Any comparisons would be grateful.

Yep, car is lovely over smooth roads but bumps and holes are not dealt with well.
I was aware of this potential problem when I choose the R Design Pro with 21 inch wheels. It’s not a major problem if you can avoid the problem roads.

It’s a shame there isn’t a Citroën DS mode.

I have only just got my XC60 T8 MY2019, R-Deign Pro 21" wheels, so cannot really comment too much, as it is early days, but some roads around my way are pretty poor, I can't say I have noticed it banging, heard a couple of noises here and there, but the car is so quiet it is not hard to hear loads of odd noises.

I guess it is also mostly speed related.

Its definitely not that bad, but wasn't sure if it was just my car. It really thumps, especially over the joints in concrete road surfaces. I'm running on 19" wheels with 235/55 Michelin tyres. I probably thinking air means quiet!!

Tyre pressure can make a difference, tyres being a kind of air suspension too

I tend to run mine at 35 psi, I might try and reduce it to 33 psi.

The XC60 suspension was a key issue for me - and I tested the standard Momentum with 19" tyres, and no air suspension, and they're a LOT better than my V50 (admittedly it's 7 years old, but still).

SOOOO looking forward to a smoother ride!

I,m running my tyres at 39 psi and I am on 20” wheels, don’t find it too bad at all in fact think the ride is very good, even over bumps.
