New O rings were fitted but they might have dried out again.
I will see if I can get a new set and replace them all and try again

Washed the wifes V50 last night, checked the fluids and noted the main injector harness had dropped off the crappy clip and was rubbing on the alternator pulley so caught that in the nick of time. The V70 D5 alarm siren has finally given up its pathetic buzzing having had fuse F8 removed... and I'll get round to fitting a new battery and / or siren at some stage. Perhaps.

Replaced front wishbones and drop links. Solved my drifting steering issue, but made worse my vibration issue. The car shakes like an earthquake above 60 mph, and doesn't seem to matter if accelerating or cruising. I'm wondering if I messed up one of the driveshafts when I had everything pulled apart. I'll start with tires first though.

Today I learned that the hinged floorboard one lifts to clear a tray to access the spare tire will hold itself up via detent.

Replaced the rear droplinks with another set of Meyle HDs and replaced the glow plug relay on account of it being faulty.

Changed PAS fluid, rear discs, pads and shoes, removed my centre silencer and replaced with a straight through pipe, replaced the back box with a new one, which was surprisingly expensive!, fitted the Volvo rear side window rollup blinds, changed the brake fluid and pulled the silly sticker off the boot.
Ordered a new Volvo badge for the boot, the large spaced one and will then debate and juat have that and the BSR badge. Just need a spoiler now and I'll leave it alone for a while. To say I nearly got rid a few months ago, I'm very much happy again, the BSR PPC kit certainly did the trick. |

Yesterday, I had a full blown emergency stop from about 20mph; EBD fires off and the car came to a nice standstill, no problems.
What struck me is that now there is notably less travel in my brake pedal today. I can kinda see a reason for it, but I wasn’t quite expecting it. |
