Default Navigation - speed radar warning - Europe

Hi,
This thread is for European users only.
In some countries the use of location warning for speed cameras is prohibited (Switzerland, Ireland,...) in other (Germany, France,...) only the indication of a wide danger zone is allowed.
Are there people here who have experience what happens when crossing the border of such countries? Does the navigation switch off the warning or in the other case only shows the danger zones?
Thank you for your comments.

The system does not use radar detection for speed cameras, they are just location warnings set in the maps as on other satnav devices.

I'd like to know this too. My TomTom correctly only identifies "safety zones" when travelling in France, rather than showing the exact location of a speed camera on a map, which i'm pretty sure will get you in trouble. Not sure how they would find out, but TomTom obviously do that for good reason (And that isnt radar detection either, just GPS map placement)

The System only warns in countries where it is allowed to warn for a point. In Germany there is no warning at all. I do not think the information is even in the database as there are also no symbols on the map. If you drive into a countrie where point warning is allowed, the system will warn you in advance to the point depending on your speed. If you are not faster as allowed no warning will be sounded.

I certainly get warnings in Germany, except on some stretches of the Autobahn were there are no speed limits.

Are you shure they aren't coming from traffic-sign recognition?

Possible??

One area of Germany that I drive in has several tunnels where the limit is 90kph and I think that I have picked up speed camera warnings.
Will pay more attention, next time, that I am there.
