I took the flasher relay apart on mine (a Hella) and there is a relay and a circuit board inside and that's about it. Couldn't see anything obviously wrong with it, but suspect a dry joint somewhere as it worked/didn't work when I manipulated it.

Odd one for me as well, particularly the seat belt warning which would flash rapidly for a period of time and then stop.

Thread update…

The new relay masked the hyperclicking symptoms for a couple of weeks. After replacing with a used stalk the problem has finally been solved.

Now you have a working one to compare it to, does the original feel "wooly" in its operation?
