Hey all

Have had Vida for many many years and have used it on many cars from 2004 S80, S40's, V60s , V70s etc

But I have a XC70 now in Canada (2008) and the HCM is locked out on it that I can't adjust the settings in it. The car is running standard H11s.. although it does have headlight washers I wonder were the HiDs taken out but I doubt it ?

Anyway the only other time I couldn't adjust the HCM was in my 2008 V70 which did have the levelling HiDs so I could understand

But is there anyway to adjust these ones ? At the moment my car is set up so the low beams are ON with all settings. Looking to change it so that at least the low beams are off while on the side light settings. I don't want to turn them off altogether because I think that might be a safety thing here.

Any help appreciated ! Thanks

If the function is greyed out or missing in Vida, that method of adjustment is not supported for that model or model year so it's main dealer only and not all will agree to do it.

The HCM is greyed out but I can still access the advanced recalibrating parts and parameters. It's the other sections for programming that are grayed out. Just trying to see if there's any other software out there to bypass it ?

I had mine done at the dealers. It needs the live link to Sweden to re program the computer, licence for which is £2000 a year so very few other than dealers can do it and not all dealers will do it.
