Default Tuning box Help Please

Hi

I've been running a 2010 1.6 D2 S40 for some years, and using a cetane booster & K&N filter - which both seem to help the 'feel' dyno so to speak. car definitely picks up better.

I took the car in for a remap & because of the rolling security on the ECU fitted to my car - the remap centre didn't want to risk a remap.

So plan B - tuning box - Bluespark Tech 2 seems to be popular/favourite at present.

Thoughts welcome - anyone tried it on the S40 1.6 D2?

have to be careful with tuning boxes, a lot just cause over fuelling and are just a patch over your ecu .... covered in this forum a lot.

as for options I would still have a look at remaps either MTE or you have the Shark maps

Copy that.... most tuning boxes “frig” the readings from the sensors to increase fuelling. This can shorten the life of your CAT an£ DPF.

Tuning boxes used to get a big thumbs-down on most forums as they 'trick' the car into running high fuel injection pressures and all of the time. Not good for the fuel pump and all the associated components.

A remap centre which gets worried about a stock ECU does not fill me with confidence!
