Retrofit Telephone - 2005 V50
Hi.
Has anyone done a retrofit of the telephone hands free for a 2005 V50? If so, what is involved? I am looking on eBay and I have found the climate control panel with the telephone switch, phone module unit 30762036 and steering wheel with phone controls. I assume this will then make it pair with a Bluetooth phone. Is there anything else needed and is it a simple plug and play? If so, where does the telephone module plug in to and fit in to? Any loom or extra cabling required? Any advice gratefully received. Thanks. Christo. |

The complexity of the fibre optic audio system makes this nigh on impossible, also on a 2005 they were still using the GSM phone, not Bluetooth. Your only way to full BT is a third party kit like a Parrot but be prepared to pay £70-80 for a SOT lead if you have the High Performance Audio. If you have Dynaudio there is nothing on the market to help you at all.

Thanks. Do you know if the later models Bluetooth equipment would fit/work? I would like to keep things using the oem equipment.

Thanks for the info. Looks like not doable unless anyone knows of a way of doing software updates without going to main dealers?

Thanks for the advice. Maybe a side project as not urgent. Will post updates if I do find a way of getting it done.
