Default What turbos are bolt on fit to a 940?

Think I have a dead turbo on my. So am looking for a replacement. If I am going to the trouble of replacing the turbo I like the idea of getting a slightly bigger one.

Is there a definitive list of what is a bolt on fit?

(my car is a 98 940 lpt that also has LPG)

You could use the high pressure turbo of a 7/9

The only problem you will have is the LPG could need remapping for the extra boost.

as urs is a 98 and i asume u have air con u would need to fit a lpt turbo or u will have to change the the inter cooler as well im not sure if the hp turbo inter cooler will fit in front of the air con rad my advice is stick to lpt it will be a night mare to change and one other thing to rember is u will have to change ur rad as well and the electronic fan will have to be removed and a viscous fan instaled

Mitsubishi TD04-15g, and certain TD04-16T's from a FWD Volvo with the housings rotated for RWD application. Good performance upgrades, the latter especially.

Sorry but I disagree with adamsky01, a turbo change shouldn't alter anything to do with the intercooler/electric fan.

Also if you have an LPT are you aware you can fit a manual boost controller set to upto 12psi, even on the original turbo? This makes quite a difference to the performance as the LPT gives only 3.5-4psi IIRC

You can upgrade the turbo for all of the ones listed above but bear in mind that additional work with piping will be needed I think (It will be needed for the t3/t4 turbo)
