740 engine
Can any help I have a 1990 Volvo 740 automatic 2litre and have a identical engine and box that I need to swap over will it run if I plug all the wires back in to the new engine etc or do I need to do any thing else to get to to start thanks

If u have identified the' engine and box' it might help by mentioning what they are! Answers can then be more specific. U might have got on better by posting this thread on the 700/900 etc Section (see below) where people are only too willing to help with all the info

Buy a load of sticky tags and write on them while fixing them to the engine and wiring loom parts in your car before removing the engine. That's what I did. Swapped in a new engine (not box) and amazingly it fired up first time!!
