Help! I need a wedding car...(Amazon?)
Hi all.
I posted this in "lounge and introductions" And was given a hint that different section of forum might give better results. But, as I don't want to make multiple threads on same topic and turn the whole affair into one big mess- please, if you have any ideas, follow the link: https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=274975 Thank you. |

Yup, that's the one I've seen. But I don't think I can afford, and that Mickey will be willing, to take red Minnie all the way to London SW...
Thanks anyway Yes.. Its Mickey (Michelle) and her car, Minnie Last edited by ThomasG; Nov 14th, 2017 at 14:41. |

I'm not suggesting offering this, https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=179880 perhaps just a little too far away(!), but this was my Tors decked out for my stepson's wedding. If you can't find an Amazon or similar maybe a white 200, 900 or 700 could do the job, probably easier to find one of those.

Thanks.
I've been trough these.. And I just don't think they have the "look".. The.. " turn head factor".. Sufficient for this job. Thus I'm hunting for Amazon, or even better- PV.. Thanks anyway. Good to know there is someone interested in helping |

Back in 1973 we used a mate's 122S amozon as our wedding car. Unfortunately 2 days before the wedding he had a minor prang, we took the wing off and by judicous use of bits of carpet, blocks of wood and a bottle jack got the dent out.
Unfortunately due to corrosion there was a hole in the wing / front panel joint under the headlight after the repairs, not to worry says he, I sort that out. Morning of the wedding he went around all the neighbours having spoken to them previously robbing their gardens for flowers and fixed them to the front of the car. All the wedding photos showed was a finely decorated wedding car festooned in flowers, no sign of the gaping hole under the headlight. Hope you have the luck to find what you want, or enough flowers for it to not matter. Paul. |

Well.. I kind of found 2 by now..
One referred by TheThong, above, and I'm still waiting for a reply from Suffolk about "grey lady" just recently restored to immaculate condition. What really really bugs me, though, is the distance any of these 2 cars would have to be driven to get to me... And because of that, I'm still on a lookout for one closer to SW London.. Nice job with these flowers! There's no anti-problem weapon mightier than brain in right place. |
