Chassis Setting Service Required
Over the weekend the "Chassis Setting Service Required" message appeared on my V70 R. This seemed to force the car to fall back to rock hard "performance" mode on the 4C suspension. Not ideal for potholed London roads.
Out came the VIDA laptop. One missing signal from a sensor. Wheel off and quick check of cables showed a very worn through cable. After a quick amazon shop for cable and self-soldering wire connectors and some cable trimming it's all good again now. These things are ace. Never seen them before. A good £20 repair rather than then 300 EUR Skandix wanted for a new sensor.

Yes Solder sleeves are good, i see all of the youtubers telling everyone how good these new inventions are, they are not new i have used them for the last 30+ years in MOD wiring work, they were first made by raychem,
Good work, Dave |
