One thing I have noted since owning a V90. Is how courteous other V90 drivers are and how you often receive a nice acknowledgement (appreciation).

Like the nice chap in a Bursting Blue V90 (identicle to mine) on the A47 today Nr Blofield, Norwich.

Hello to you Sir, if you Read this!

That is good to know, I'll bear it in mind when I meet another V90 on the road as yet I haven't seen another one. I'm a little surprised really as the car is fabulous. (I think Volvo would do well to think of ways to get other people to drive their new cars.)

I have seen many new XC60s on the road, including last night when my V90 and the oncoming XC60 dipped beams together.

Power isn't really an issue. the PP D5 pulls the car along quite nicely. I just wish it had the refinement and sound of a 6 cylinder. Even so, I could yet be tempted by Polestar- mainly for the apparent improvement in gear change response. However, I would want to try one first.

Just in the process of possibly squeezing in a last-minute ski trip. Probably 50:50 of that going ahead. If it falls through, I might just be tempted to spend the cash on Polestar instead...

Don't you just love Man Maths!
Hi all, I am a newbie here. Current car is BMW F30 330d m sport with M Power performance power upgrade to 286hp. Could you tell me how much power is available with polestar? Is it available for D4 and How much would it cost? Just ordered an XC60, delivery due next month.

Thanks

Try driving around in with the standard gearbox for a few weeks/months first, flicking between Comfort and Dynamic mode. Dynamic gives you full range of 400Nm torque.
I'm not bothering with the P* for my D4. Not for 10HP and 20Nm performance increase... but I've seen those that have it appreciate the gear ratio change.

I saw my first V90 out on the road yesterday and I can back up your comment with some more data, He waved and gave a thumbs up as he let me cross into the side road first.
