Default My S60 won't shift gears unless I put it in manual mode...

Hi gang,
Any advice on this one? My "cheap" project car seems to have all of a sudden become a bit more expensive. I replaced the throttle body. The good news is that my idle seems to have settled. The bad news is that in driving around the block I realized that the car won't shift gears unless I put the darned thing in manual mode!!! Arrrrghhhh.

Has anyone else come across this issue? I have yet checked colour of trans fluid and that will be my next move but beyond that, any ideas, suggestions, troubleshooting tips?

No CEL codes have crept up yet.

The vehicle is a 2004 2.5T (petrol)

My D5 wouldn't shift out of 2nd (I think) when I forgot to plug in one of the connectors in the engine bay after some work. Can't remember which one it was, but no warning lights appeared etc. Check all connections that you undid when you changed throttle body. Pooped my pants when that happened lol, very relieved when I spotted the forgotten connector!
