V40 Radio stereo set Radio code

Hello i have a VOLVO V40 2004 with the above Volvo radio in it, i flattened the battery and took it out to charge it and now i need a code for the radio.
The Car Reg is :
VK04UGR
Radio Serial Number is:
VO39203915E265

Can anyone help me please

Hi I wonder if anyone can help. I recently bought a secondhand volvo hu -605 stereo to go into my old V40 but I don,t have the code .... The serial number on the unit is VO3550 2926E186 and also written on it is the registration of the car I presume it came out of? AF03 JFG... Thanks

try calling you local volvo main dealers. give them the registration (thats on the head unit) they should be able to give you a code in seconds.

also what reg is your current v40?

the Hu-605 came out of a ph2 and that has a completely different wiring loom and has a special aerial connector that is only on vovlo's

Yeah, try ringing your local dealer, if they won't help, try frf volvo at swansea, speak to simon in the parts department

Thanks for your reply, the aerial connector should not be a problem as I have ordered a converter to do that, and as for the wiring loom well I have diagrams to show the old/new wiring sequence so I will be able to do that after several hours. My only problem seems to be getting the code and also to find the two male connectors to plug into the back of the hu-605 as most places only sell the female connectors for those wanting to change to a normal iso stereo.. Anyway thanks for your reply, I shall ring Volvo if nobody on here can find my code from the reg and serial number I supplied earlier, thanks, Dene
