Default Door Lock Problem

Hello, did do a search of the forum but cant find what I'm looking for.
I have just bought and fitted a new latch return spring which now works fine. Unfortunately I think I may have inadvertently done something to the lock ? The lock barrel now comes out with the key when I lock it ?? How does the lock mechanism fix into the lock hole in the door so to speak ? If I can get it out I may be able to work it out.
Many thanks.

If you pull back the door seal in the vicinity of the lock you will see a screw hole. there should be a small screw which you screw in until it bears on the flat section of the lock barrel. You may have lost the screw.

Yep, managed to get whole lock out. My next issue is how do I get the barrel out of my new lock to change the key levers to the old ones so I continue to have one matching key. Any advice /ideas ??
Many thanks

Did you not get a set of keys with the new lock?

I believe that there is a cotter pin which has to be drilled out but i could be wrong. You can just make it out on the flat. also on other side. Others may know better than me

PS it may be this pin
