There is a dpf cleaner in grangemouth ive used with my previous Mazda. You have to remove dpf, they will pick up, clean and return, usually next day. Was £300. Mazda was 47% full 86000 miles. Was really good.

There has been quite a few posts in the xc90 section relating to oil consumption. Worn piston rings and hydraulic lifters are not uncommon on some of these euro 4s it would appear.

Well the replacement DPF only lasted 30,000 miles before it filled again. This time as well as replacing the dpf we figured it was the turbo leaking, so the turbo has been replaced with a good used one. They do come out the top so the angle gear can stay in. Oil consumption better, hope that helps anyone with dpf issues.

Hi Simmy, No, when I put the new pressure sensor on the dpf, three years ago, I just swapped it over, I thought the ecu would just read the new figures.

no it needs to be configured as with some other replacement parts also they dont make it easy for the home mechanic . its all about makeing money for volvo
