Default Windscreen washer not working

Hey guys,

My windscreen washer isnt working.

I think the pump might have packed up, as when I try, it doesn't make a sound.

Anyone know if it could be a fuse, and which one relates to the washer pump, before I go buying a new pump. Any other tips will be helpful.

(its got fluid, and no fluid is leaking anywhere)

Cheers,
Phil

TBH it's normally the pump itself rather than a fuse.

Not hard to get at either: on the T5 is the washer bottle near the front on the nearside? If so remove the fog-light surround and fog-light and you have a good chance of reaching the pump - I remember doing it that way on the S40 2.4.

Might need a bit of a fiddle and you need to work out which pump is windscreen and which is headlights, but it is doable...

Alternatively take the front bumper off and make it easy!

If the washer bottle is in front of the driver, remove that wheel and wheel arch liner and you can get at it easily.

Oh yes - and no need to shell out on a genuine Volvo pump!!

Just did my 2008 C70 D5 which was under the driver side wing. Febi bilstein replacement pump off ebay for £11 and had identical numbers to the one that came off.
Still struggling to find the headlight reservoir and pump though....one for when it's warmer.
