Default V70 / S60 gearbox and computer

Are all auto gearboxes on 2002-2007 S60 and V70 models geartronic ? Are they reliable ?

Also do all cars have the trip computer as standard ? On my S1 V70 this shows average and current mpg, miles to empty etc.

Not all are Geartronic - generally, the later the model and the higher spec (i.e. most T5's are). It's easy to tell just by looking at the gearstick. All but some early "S" models should have the computer - again, it is easy to tell by seeing if the twirl knob is there on the left hand stalk.

As to are they reliable? Well, look through the forum, and the short answer is probably "no". Again, the later the model the better they are but if looking at an early 2000-2002 higher mileage P2 a manual is certainly a much safer option.
