I'm having trouble figuring out the trick to this one. How does one remove the rear seat back in the combi?

Trick is found on page 8-23 and 8-24 of the body manual, here: http://www.volvoamazonpictures.se/do...65_122body.pdf

It is indeed a trick! Something you can't figure out by looking, you just have to know.

In simple terms shove flat bladed screw driver down where the pivot is wiggle and pull seat up and out of the pivot then repeat the other side. THE PIN IS SPRING LOADEDX. PULL THE SEAT AWAY FROM THETOP RETAINERS THEN INSERT THE SCREWDRIVER.

Only one side - slides in its spring loaded
I believe it’s the drivers side (rhs)

Yes slide a small screwdriver or prize bar small and then gently lever across it may be stuck as been in the car a number of years so squirt a drop of penetration oil like wd40 or DDT down it let it soke for a min then try
Once it’s moving that will get you passed the retainer bracket and hold the seat in a fashion you can then remove the other side by coming back the way

Once you have done one you will never forget definitely a sneaky tricky way it had me stumped years ago the first time I did one

Hope that’s helped

Kind regards
