1.8 a/c bypass
hi all my ac pumped has sezied and caused my aux belt to snap so want to bypass it till i have the funds to get a new ac pump and get it all regassed has anyone done it before if so what belt did you use many thanks matt

I believe this thread might be useful to you, although it's for a diesel engine. But essentially you'll be wanting to do the same, you'll need an auxilliary belt the correct length to skip the air-conditioning pulley.
If you can't find one from Volvo then try Renault. These engines were fitted to the Megane, I believe. So that'd be worth checking out too. Unless yours is the mitsubishi GDi engine, in which case give them a try. |

My ac pump failed on my diesel a while ago. Cost me £120 all in for a scrap yard pump and regas at halfords.
