Default Rear Central Locking Problems V70 (53 Plate)

Hi Can someone help I have 53 plate V70 2.4 petrol Estate (My 3rd Volvo).

I have a problem with the rear central locking, the front doors work no problem but the rears don't. I've bought two new soleniods and my mechanic has still not been able to get the rear and boot door to lock on the central locking.

He's worked on loads of Volvo's and is really good, but he tried for a couple of hours but couldn't fix it so didn't charge me.

Could anyone recommend anything to try, he's switched the rear connector thingy's around (I'm not a techy person) But is stuck on what to do next.

Otherwise could you recommend Volvo specialist or someone in the Cumbria or Manchester area that could fix it.

Thanks in advance

I'm sure I saw someone on here with the same problem just a few days ago. If I remember, it showed a picture of a chewed up wiring loom. The wires had been caught somewhere and many of them were cut through which must have shorted something out somewhere. You may have the same problem.
