850 replacement key etc in London
Chaps
There have been several threads in recent months re the above. On Saturday I visited Steve at Braydon Motors Seven Sisters Road N7 following a telephone quote of £70 + VAT. He cut the key, coded the chip all worked 1st time - £59.60 + VAT - small change given the chance of me dropping the key on a fishing trip and the resultant aggro as I only ever had 1 key following steering column / ignition replacement !! I asked him about the V70 99 onwards and whilst he could not give a price said it would not be the £150 + price that some have been quoted as it involves the same process as the 850 with an additional download cost which you all know is only available from Volvo. Another example - 5 genuine Volvo plugs for my T5 £34.95 + VAT and he chucked in a jubilee clip gratis - 19 years of ownership and first breakdown - upper rad hose clip went on way there but as all who have followed my coolant leak thread will know 1 litre water kept in boot so got there ok ! As I could not find the leak I reckon a slowly degrading clip was probably the cause so have killed 2 birds with 1 stone. Steve can be contacted on 0208 985 2255 and says if you mention the recco is Paul from Forest Gate he will do his very best prices. I am not suggesting these are rock bottom but he was terribly helpful and unlike many did on the forecourt what he said he would do on the phone. |

Yes, I must chime in here. I ordered a couple of filters and a set of wheel bolts, ( to replace my locking type), and found Steve to be well informed and extremely helpful. Price wise he was pretty good, charged me the same price for the filters as two years ago and the items arrived next day, great service. I'd recommend Braydons to anyone.
