1966 Amazon 121
So its come to it ... my Amazon is for sale. I've seen an estate I like, so the Amazon has to go.
B18A engine. MOT until March 2012, 12 months tax (its is exempt of course). Solid underneath - was professionally waxoyled last year - and presentable all round, with a couple of scabs on the front near side wing in particular. I had both rear arches replaced last year and some welding on the spare wheel well. Engine runs well, oil changed every 2000 miles since I've had her. It's fitted with the single Zenith carb. Interior is complete, but has minor splits on the top edge of the seat. Its never bothered me at all and adds to the car's character. She's also lowered on new springs done last year. Overall a sturdy, solid, practical classic that can be used daily, as I do! She's not immaculate but can be used as is or as a rolling resto. I'm only selling due to a growing family. Looking for £1700, less than I paid for her and she now runs considerably better and is more presentable! |

Hi Andrew, will try and get some more pics sorted out for you.
There are two scabs on the nearside front wing, easily sorted though. Door bottoms are ok, not fantastic, but not gotten any worse since I bought the car. Everywhere else is solid. Engine chugs along happily, doesnt burn or lose oil. I've fixed a recent oil leak - the breather pipe was missing the sealing ring that fits into the block. Gearbox was leaking from the speedo drive, so I replaced the top hat washer and all is well. All cylinders are at around 155psi when I tested them last week. I get about 26 - 27 mpg from it tootling backwards and forwards to work. Interior is complete, but used! I must say, it gets more attention than any other car or bike I've owned!
