Default Auto engine + flywheel fit

According to someone trying to fit an auto box to a manual engine, the flange on the auto engine crank is different to the manual. The holes are in the same position but the flange is wider and the centre is different.

Do the auto engines have a different crank and you can't convert 1 to the other?

I think it a false alarm, there is an extra spacer on the auto crank that needs to be persuaded off to fit a manual flywheel, and put on to fit an auto flex plate.
