Considering 2022 T8 R-Pro

Hi,

I've had a new car on order since Dec 22, but it appears like it's going to be considerably longer before it arrives.

I've seen a 22 plate T8 Recharge R-Pro for sale at a main UK dealer. Is there anything I should be aware of for this year of vehicle?

Is it an Extended Range model or a standard T8. If not Extended Range (i.e. 11.6kwh vs 18.8kwh on extended range), ignore it and wait for the one you ordered. Extended range cars have a bigger battery, more powerful electric motor and different drivetrain updates which makes them a much better allround car than the non extended range cars.

Yeah it’s the 18.8kwh version.

Dealer is not being particularly helpful. Feels like they’ve taken my deposit and done really care too much. Said they would update, but they’ve not bothered unless I’ve messaged them.

Both cars are about the same price, but the 22 plate comes with a better spec than the Plus and the T8 engine. It’s got me thinking.

Presumably the 22 reg will be Sensus over Google. Another consideration.

If its the Extended Range (and an XC60) then it will be AAOS. If an XC90, it could well be Sensus.

Yes, the one on order is an XC60 but the OP has not said what the R-Design Pro he is considering buying is.

The vehicle in question is also android. Looks like the last of the xc60 before they moved to the new naming convention. Registered April 2022.

The dash finish has that leather stitching which the Plus doesn’t have and has air suspension. Which is probably a blessing as it’s sitting on 22”s

My xc60 has air suspension- its excellent, especially for towing.
