Default S60 2017 D4 RDesign winter wheels

Good morning all and Happy New Year.

A newbie here so please be gentle. I have used the search function but cannot come up with an answer to this.

What is the smallest diameter wheels that I can put on this car for winter wheel use? The current wheels are 18inch Ixion 3.

Also can I use wheels from other Volvo models or are they engineered specifically for that model of car?

Thank you and stay safe.

David.

Hi, I do not have a definitive answer to your question but can only tell you that recently a fellow member tried to fit 17” rims where he normally had 18” rims and they where fouled by the brake callipers, and another member stated that your handbook tells you what wheel/tyre combination you are able to use.
I’m sure someone will be able to give you a precise answer.

There is a wheel fitment App which will guide you through this:-

I’ve just fitted 17” Segin alloys to my 2017 D4 AWD with no problems. The original wheels are 8Jx18 ET55 with 235/60 R18 tyres. The Segins are 7.5Jx17 ET55 with 235/65 R17s. There remains a good half-inch or more clearance with the front calipers.

Ride is improved over poor surfaces and fine on smooth surfaces.

Excuse the photos out of the window - too cold to pop outside!

Xc60 fine in 17” s60 might have bigger brakes though so check the manual for wheel size options
