There are businesses in Sweden that repairs these. You must be able to find them in your country as well.
Make a search on Internet. Perhaps: https://www.greenawayelectrics.co.uk...pairs-belfast/

Or if you do know if someone here makes repairs in Ireland or UK - send them a PM trhugh personal message. Iam sorry but I cannot help you there.
Allmost all V70 from 2000-2003 have DIM problems today.

Lukasz number is 07977660678

You have two options really.
You can ask him if he can repair yours one or get the second hand one and he can clone one for you for £60 IIRC

DIM works fine, but it's all in Japanese

Already have quote from Lucasz to change it to English, but waiting until I need to drive past him to get it done.

I wouldnt change to a second hand - they all are bad now a days - if not that second one have been repaired or been change to a new.
My friends DIM went broke. First the high beam light and clock - then it went all black.
I took the DIM from my own V70, petrol and automatic gearbox - it apparently had the exact same software because I didn have to transfer the software from his own to mine. Sometimes it works straight off. BUT - couple of weeks later the high beam indicator died on that too!
We know several scrap yards and they all have stopped selling second hand DIMs - because they never work.

Has anybody used this service recently? I sent an email and a message using their online form last week, but have not received any reply.

Obviously, I do not want to send my instrument cluster away if I'm not 100% sure i'm going to get it back!

I had mine repaired by them two weeks ago and am very pleased with the result.
Communication wasn't great.

For what it's worth, here in North America, Xemodex is a leader in repairing DIMs, BCM's, ECM's, ETM's and TCM's for our Volvo's. It also turns out that they are just a few blocks from work for me so this makes things especially convenient. They do offer very good shipping options and very fast service so I would not rule them out if you are looking for a reputable shop for repairs.

They can be found online at https://xemodex.com/

Hi CB - Lukas (who runs Volvo Diagnostics) is quite difficult to track down. I had the same challenges when I contacted him about repairing my Amp. He did though reply to a PM that I sent to his account, so might be worth a try?

Ive had my cluster repaired a few months ago, still had the SRS message displaying but i finally got a code reader that can reset it, id assumed it was just from the previous damaged cluster. Diagnostics is saying its a failed LED and cant reset (led does light up red with ignition turned on and goes out as normal).

Im wondering if i still have an issue with the cluster, as i have also noticed the instruments lights have changed brightness on there own a few times and have had a very occasional indicator light stall.

really want this srs message gone.
