Default Xc90 not charging

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on my problem. I have a March 18 XC90 hybrid and charge it using PodPoint. All of a sudden last week, it just wouldn't charge. The light stays on yellow and doesn't go to green. I tried a 3 point plug to an outside socket and still no charge.

If anyone has any ideas, I would be grateful. It is booked in at the garage but that is in 2 weeks! Not happy tbh.

Thanks, Julia

Had the same problem. They replaced the charging module.

Had mine replaced too only a few weeks ago.

Funny thing is, the new one they put in clearly has better software on board compared to the old one. It interacts with my charging point in a much more sensible way. Before, when unlocking the car with the cable still connected (but no longer charging as the battery had been fully charged) it would rapidly pulse the charging point on and then off in a short burst for no reason . Doesn't do that anymore and the connection time seems to be quicker to get to the green flashing light state at the car charging port.

Default T8 XC90 MY2017 Not Charging

Hi
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but my MY '17 XC90 has just started with the same problem. I've not been using it since the start of the lockdown; today I had an essential journey to make, and found the Battery half charged despite being plugged in.
Sensus display shows lead plugged in, and Charge socket LED glows Green when plugged in, but no charging.
Engine appears to charge battery OK.
Can't consult dealer as closed......
Can anybody please help?

You could try a different charger 3 pin vs pod point if you have one if they both fail to charge then it’s likely to be the internal charger. My charger was replaced a couple of months ago as it had blown both internal fuzes. Covered under warranty but the cost on the bill was round £1,200.

Tried a different socket, and it appears to be charging now - keeping fingers crossed.

Just cycle the power on the POD point at the isolator and this might fix it. Mine occasionally throws a hissy fit and I come to the car to find it not charged. Just reset the POD point and all is well. Easy enough at home but at work I have to get one of the shift sparkies to find the breaker at the distribution board.
