Default Volvo extended warranty - a few questions

I've got an email saying that warranty on my S90 runs out in about 20 days.

In the email it said I can extend for 12 months @ £39.50/month (10 payments)

First of all Norton is flagging the links in the email as suspicious. I have the option to run in isolation mode and it took me to a website as per picture below.
Does this look legit?

The price does seem to good to be true. Can anyone who went for the extended warranty comment?

Looks legit to me, and a good price!

I get sent postcards with an website address, site looks the same as the one I've seen.

I also received one of these, and a version in the post. I took it to my local dealer who confirmed that it is ‘authentic’, and is what they also offer but they don’t offer paying in instalments.

Thanks all. Looks like it's no brainer then About £500 for a year's extended warranty, which is more palatable if paid in installments.

What happens after the one year? Is there options to renew?

usually, i think up-to year 8 or 10 pending mileage... mines 6 years old this year and have had the option for the last 2 years, that was bought used at 3 years old too

As confirmed by others that looks exactly like where I extended for my car and price is the same.
You also get Volvo assist for the year as well when car is serviced at your dealer.

Depending on how long you intend keeping your car it might be worth asking about the 2 year extended warranty. I think I paid about £850 for a 2 year extension on my XC90.

The Volvo Extended Warranty is underwritten by a 3rd party, I think its Car Care Plan but may be wrong.

The 1 year warranty can be purchased direct from them but the 2 year has to be done by a Volvo Dealer.

Some dealers, mine included, don't offer it because the sale has to be made by someone who is "Financially" authorised to sell an insurance product, which is essentially what you are buying. If that's the case ring another Volvo dealer and ask for it.

Yes, after another year you should receive another invitation to extend for a further 12 months at whatever price is offered then, likely to be more than the first extension offer though.

I had exactly the same offer as you for my 2017 V90 (£395 for 12 months) but wanted to take out a 2 year extension so I was advised to go to my dealer, Holdcroft in Stoke. They quoted me £745 for two years which was going to be cheaper than the sum of the two 'Volvo' offers. The only downside was no monthly payments so I paid the full amount up front.

Hope this helps?

How do you find Holdcroft in Stoke for servicing? I am awaiting delivery of my first Volvo from them and I have been impressed with the sales side (though it would be slightly worrying if this part was not good!) but no experience yet of after sales and servicing. Thanks.
