Hello,
I’ve got a Cross Country, on 40k now. Nothing major has gone wrong with mine from new, but it has had a couple of things which mean I wouldn’t buy one without a warranty;
1) roof airbag bolts, was a recall. Dealer made a hash of it and caused a number of long running rattles, but eventually sorted.
2) Right steering wheel buttons fail quite often (known issue, supposedly fixed) which leads to other electronic gubbins not working. Is an easy and quick fix (swop our entire module) but I doubt it is cheap, and I’ve had 2 done now...
I chose the CC over the V90 purely down to the height. The V90 is very low to the ground imo.
Lovely cars though.
Hope this helps.

My V90cc is on 25k miles and hasn't had any problems. However, 2 weeks ago I had "rear lighting unit failure" (or similar) appear on the dashboard. The lights on the whole left rear cluster had stopped working. It was a Sunday so couldn't take it to the dealer and the next day it cured itself.

Personally I would be cautious about the repair costs of these cars of there isn't a comprehensive warranty - otherwise, I love it.

Yes defo something to concider, the d5 power pulse onse seem to have problems with hoses, hope they get that sorted, seems such an easy fix, which is worrying that it happens in the first place

Exclamation Rear lights

2018 V90. 2022 ALL rear lights failed because of RUST said the Volvo garage. Both units replaced at a cost of £800!! This suggests an underlying fault with these units. Anyone else has similar problems

Hi, sounds like me 2 years ago. I came from a xc70 d5 2010 150k. Brought a 69 v90cc d5, I found the v90 too low. Especially as I tow a caravan. Perfect replacement for the aged xc70. Wouldn’t be without it. Only issue I’ve had was a broken fuel filler lock. I wouldn’t put this issue down to to the car, could have been any car.
