Ok, its been a few weeks since I offered these cars for sale. I am still looking to sell them as one lot but I'm open to sensible offers. Really dont wish to put them on eBay, again as one lot, but that'll be the next stage.

This is a good opportunity to create a really superb GLT for not much money and have spares to keep you going for ages or to sell and recover some of the costs. Or as I've been doing, using one for everyday and the other for 'best'.

As the other posters have said, surely you will obtain a better price by selling as two separate cars.

Also, since most buyers will already have 1 ( or more cars ) you're hoping to find someone that will have space for 2 extra cars of the condition you're selling.

They look like they should stay in a garage, especially with Winter round the corner, so, again, that means someone may need a 3 car garage (their own car + your 2).

Cmon, that's not going to be too likely, is it?

Split and shift; if you really want to sell them then that's what you're going to need to do.

It's only about 40 days until xmas and most Mr Volvos have a Mrs Volvo that's pre-allocated all the spare pounds.

Split the cars or keep them till the new year, that's what I'd say.

Just my 2pennorth.

Default Re: BAY

IH who did all the hard work, offered me BAY for £950 in 2008, and was prepared to haggle. Unfortunately I had to pass at the time.

With additional mileage and 2 more keepers in the V5 the car cannot be worth more than £700 absolute tops at that rate, but as you appear to reckon BAY is now less than superb (she was truly superb in IH's hands) then she must be worth less than that in real terms. OLGA cannot possibly be worth the same again +, so you must be joking my friend.

Cheers,

T

Yeah, IH really knew how to make that 240 shine!

BTW I spotted BAY a year or so ago on a motorway, although I cant remember where. It really has the rubber-neck effect!
