Default New Wheels

Hi everyone
I'm a lucky boy Santa is bringing me some 18" wheels for Christmas any suggestions as to what size tyres would be best on these. Also my 850 T5 has developed a case of the bunny hops, tick over keeps dropping as if she is missing the exhaust burbles when running and she keeps losing power to the point of stalling now the engine management light has come on and gone off only once though any ideas before I take a trip to the local dealer.

Pull the fault codes if you can on your car. Check for vacume leaks especially the small pipe on the side of the inlet manifold near the power steering pump.

To get a similar diameter wheel/tyre diameter use the tyre size calculator at www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Hi,

i'm using 215/35/18 tyres on my 850. These are slightly under-cut for a 8" wide rim but don't rub (plus side profile is VERY low)

With regards to the rough idle problem, I had a rough idle along with an intermittent stalling problem. The stalling was solved by replacing the fuel pump relay. I was all ready to go hunting for the rough idle problem by cleaning various parts but the rough idle has gone since replacing the relay.
