More Tyre News

I finally killed the Yoko's at 8k miles...... some were surprised how long they lasted as apparently they are softer than a melting soft thing in the midday sun !!!!!!

This morning I took delivery of 2 vicious looking Avon ZZ1 205/40/17's for the princley sum of £132 the pair :) (This included £8 next day delivery)

So thats the new boots sorted for the track day (oh and the 2000mile holiday tour! )

These came from http://www.topgear.co.uk/ excellent site and were the cheapest once you work out that all the others doing free fitting were charging for valves & balance !

Hi Jim,

Have to say - I am also well impressed with Avon....!

Everyone should consider them with their next change. Good money per corner and grippy too! I'll let you all know how long they last when I break them!

Well I am certainly impressed..... finally let things rip yesterday in a spot where I always near enough lift a wheel and see lots of tyre smoke :(

Excellent result, there was no smoke, no squeal...just acceleration - seems a shame to get rid of her now..... hmmm decisions decisions.......
