Default SPA Sensus Bluetooth problems

Having had no joy on this issue with my Volvo dealer, I thought I'd bring a (rather irritating) issue I'm having to the good folk of here.

I've got a 2017 V90, love the car to bits. However, it just seems that it cannot maintain a decent bluetooth connection to my phone. I'll be on a phone call, and the system will just drop the entire bluetooth connection with the phone, and automatically reconnect it a few seconds later. It doesn't make any difference if I'm making or receiving the call.

The phone is an iPhone X, all up to date. I've had the issue a while, have had two replacement iPhones since it started as well, and get the same issue with my partner's iPhone XS, so I'm sure it's not the handset. The problem is more pronounced when I've got the personal hotspot on the phone turned on, as I need it for data for the sat nav traffic, Spotify and such. The car doesn't have Car Play or the built in sim slot. However it still does it when not on hot spot, though not as much. I've realised that when the hotspot it off and I'm using the phone as a music source, it can get a bit jumpy.

I've had the car into my dealer to have it looked at a few times now, and I'm at the end of my tether with it now. I got the car in May, and the problem started around June / July and has been looked at a few times. The dealer always gives me "the car's had a software update so it should be fine"... The last time it was looked at when the car was serviced in Jan, they said that, and the following day it dropped a call 4 times in 10 minutes!

I called the dealer for god knows how many time last week, as the technician has filed a report with Volvo. I didn't hear anything back, so had to call them up, and I got a response saying that Volvo are aware of the issue and don't know when it'll be sorted. Not good enough as far as I'm concerned!

Has anyone here got any thoughts?
