Default Engine oil

Hi all, hope you all had a good Christmas,

I'm going to be doing a full service on my v70 2.5d - its a 1999 on 200k miles.

What engine oil are people using? I think recommended is 0w40 or 5w40... I think last year I did it I used 15w40

Gearbox oil and capacity? Ive never done this, but im assuming its not ep90 like my land rover!

Ill be doing the dynamic timing+belt when i do this too.

CHeers

Ben

15/40 basic mineral is fine - I use it in my petrol R and change it every 3000 miles. Neither engines are stressed or weak..
