Thumbs up Roofbox Troubles

Good evening one & all.

I have fitted my first roofbox today in preparation for an impending trip into Europe. However, I have a bit of trouble with the instructions! Any comments would be most welcome.

The set-up I have is a Thule Alpine 100 box & a Thule T-track system. I have posted an image of the instructions below and the highlighted with a red square the part I do not understand! This 'part' was not a part from the original roofbox nor in the T-track system contents and hence I attach it.

I have the roofbox attached to my car by 4 t-track bolts (one on each corner) and the screw-on threaded nuts. Not being used to roof boxes, this doesn't appear to be really secure, although I am sure it is!!

Does anybody recognise the bit I am missing or give me reassurance all will be ok!

The fact the part is not in an outline drawing like the rest I would imagine it to be something you should already have, though I don't have a clue what Is your car fitted with rails or the fixings for the complete rack?

No, the car has rails and I have just attached the bars and box. The idea of the T-Track system is that it is held on by the one bolt and screw nut, although like you, I have no idea what the highlighted bit is.

Check in the shop where you bought it or ring Thule.
