240 mot.
About a month ago had a new exhaust and rear disks and pads fitted to my 940.
A few days ago my 1996 940 went in for the MOT and I'm glad to say it passed with no advisories. The first MOT since I purchased it. Now next week before the 7th of November my 1989 240 is due it's MOT. I'm afraid it's rustier than last year as used as a second car so not used much and I even noticed the passenger side door cill is rusting on the door aperture when you open the door. May need a patch welding at some point. It would be lovely to repair all rust properly as quite sentimental about the car but to be totally honest I could buy better for what proper repairs would cost. If I can get him to 30 plus years old that would be great. My mileometer packed up on him at 237,000. He has passed the last 3 MOT's with no advisories the last 3 years so well see what happens on his 9th MOT with me. F912YOA James Last edited by volvo always; Oct 30th, 2017 at 19:00. |

The mileometer problem will be the gears inside the speedo which will have strippped. A repair kit is about £12 from partsforvolvo and is easy enough to do. Its worth doing.
