Default D24 normally aspirated to D24t

Hi, I have a lhd 240 manual 5-speed with a normally aspirated D24 which is getting a little tired. I have a complete D24turbo lump with all ancillaries from a 940 automatic. Apart from the exhaust downpipe, flywheel and clutch are there likely to be any problems in putting the D24t int the 240?

Well, it'll be tight. The engine will need to be tipped a little more to get the turbocharger past the passenger side dome. It is possible. A friend of mine has a D24TIC in his 245, but he "bodged" it a bit... The German TÜV said "No worry" but I still think it isn't that good...:

He cut away parts of the dome and shaped them around the turbocharger...

Like said, most important thing is to find the space under the bonnet (HEIGHT!!!) to turn the engine around a little bit.

On top of that, the M47 (if manual) won't handle the torque. You'd then need to find an M46 OD (with matching clutch housing for the D24 and the spline in) and also make the prop tunnel a little wider at the rear, as it isn't really made to fit an M46 box...
