Default Gauging interest in our 940 hpt cdi project

Sadly its come to a stage where i have to accept i am not going to finish the 940

We lost the workshop i was renting and shes sat under the lean too since the year start now. This car can not be broken and has to be finished as its too nice and is very close to been a high value 940 0nce done.

Ive welded and blasted/epoxied all the areas needed on the car (low pressure etc i know my blasting) in a heated and humidity monitored garage so it does not need alot to finish. Two wings and the final front areas and its paint/ assembly to finish. I also have a a good selection on parts brand new genuine with it including a in the box new volvo wing. So if someone gets the lot as a deal they only need one wing parts wise to complete.

More detail

It has the front arch to engine bay bolt hole classic to do and somewhere else in the arches facing engine side to. I have welded the rear arches internally. Rebuilt the sills both sides. Rebuilt some areas on the floorplan and basically done all the work welding wise beyond the last bits front end. 90% id honestly say done as all the rest is.

This car was sent to volvo for welding and they used bodge and filler. I did it properly. It was not mega rotten to start with but any thin areas were out and replaced with galv steel.

Once it was done the underside were needed and worked areas, were blasted and the whole underside epoxy primered. As close as possible to replication of factory conditions for bare steel.

Exterior is straight as a die body wise, aurigas on and its a top spec fully working 2.5 hpt. Cruise works the lot and the interior is nice. It was a totally driving car before the work began and will be handed over a rolling shell as the props off and tank from resto too. It was meant to be a daily until i found the sills were not holding up.

I think i will be wanting £1000 for the car and £1500 for parts with it. I have taken alot of pictures to show the work done and think its a fair price to let the car live on? What you guys think?

I will post some pictures of it but it needs a wash as its got dusty under the lean to.

Mick

No interest on here from anyone? Had some interest elsewhere but would like to see it go to someone on here. Remember it's had all the main corosion areas done so it's a step in the right direction for any resto.

£2500 for a 275,000 miler that doesn't run and needs paint is a big ask. What parts come with it for the extra £1500?

I think it is £1500 for the car and parts, it isn't 100% clear though.

Sorry I may have worded it wrong. The car is £1000 then £1500 with the parts too. Yeah 2.5k is strong haha. And it did run absolutely mint before strip down.

I'll have to make a list but there's a brand new Volvo wing in the box. Light lenses new in box ,some good condition window runners the previous owner found and alot more I need to go through.

I don't think the price is unfair either bearing in mind most 940s are now rotten. I've not seen one yet that hasn't got rotten rear arch bottoms or the sills backs going. All it takes is a poke and it's through usually.
