After seat belts this is the one feature that has the potential to save your life. Every new car should have it.

After running an XC60 for 3 years with a lot of options my order of priority would be
1 On Call
2 BLIS

the one time you need them may save a life. My "moment" came in a downpour with next to zero visibility, when some prat was overtaking me on the inside as I was about to move in, if it wasnt for BLIS I would have been taken out as I couldnt see him but the radar picked him up, and a mulitiple motorway pileup would have been inevitable.

I can repeat your “moment” several times when attempting to filter off motorways in the dark and wet. Unfortunately Volvo add considerable expense when choosing all the features that make their cars some of the safest on the road. Similarly on one occasion on the motorway every car in sight suddenly braked as did my ACC. Had my attention been diverted at that time for even a second without ACC who knows.

I would spend the money on the Volvo safety features before anything else. I have them all on mine and find them superb and well worth it. To put things into perspective if BLIS saves you just one incident it will pay for itself several times over.

Adaptive cruise makes for a more relaxing drive and maintains that safe distance to the car in front that our own brain doesn't always do quite so well.

These are just 2 examples.

I’m talking as an XC90 driver, but many features are the same.

12.3” screen - yes. Like the option to have the map between dials.

BLIS - came as part of a pack but good to have.

Winter - well worth it - wish I’d specced heated rears instead of Carplay!

Intelli-safe - XC90 comes with PA2 as standard and I love it. Use adaptive cruise all the time on A roads up, and PA on motorways.

Thanks everyone for your comments on which options are a must, much appreciate it.

I have however changed track and ordered a V90 D4 R Design with adaptive dampers in Osmium Grey.

Why?

Basically my inner Yorkshireman won... This will be my first Lease deal - it was too good to miss - I thought I had miss heard the guy at Volvo but after I realised he was offering me a V90 R Design on an 18 month lease 8,000 miles per year at £192 per month (6+17) and I didn't hesitate, there was no room to customise this deal, but at this price I don't think I can complain.

Just have to await a date for delivery....and find a new home for my V60!

I have discounted the S90 - although a great car it was just a little too low to the ground for my tastes even though the PCH deals were so tempting...

I was leaning towards the V90CC but having seen the new XC60 T5 momentum deals that launched this week they seem too good to miss, the problem I have is that I want all the toys but my Yorkshire blood is at odds with parting with more cash than I have too.

It sucks that the pilot assist is a £1500 option on the XC60!

I'd like your thoughts on the following options - how often do you use them / are they worth it - would you purchase again (feel free to suggest other options)

12.3" TFT display
Blis
surround view camera or front park assist
winter pack
Intelisafe pack (I know this includes Blis, but an extra £1000 for adaptive cruise?)

Cheers
I've got all the above except for winter pack. I have the 360 camera plus front park assist, because 360 dosen't come with front bleepers.
Because I'm retired I don't really do early starts, so thought heated screen and steering wheel was not worth the extra money.
