Default D3 cylinder head

I just bought a 2011 v70 2.0 5cylinder d3 badged. 71k
I was told it had a slow coolant leak witch the mechanic couldn't find then the water pump bearing collapsed and it slipped the belt.
The cylinder head is in the boot and has busted the housings for the hydraulic lifters.
Could anyone inform me What heads can be fitted to this engine and from what years? Eg: could a 2006 2.4d head be used?

There are quite a few different versions of the head and after 2007 they have a mounting on the cambelt end .
I would be very surprised if that was a volvo water pump which expired I have never ever known one fail since they were introduced on the 960 in 1990 .

I had a quick look in at it today and see the mounting lugs alright! Everything is laying in a pile in the back of the car head cams rockers manifolds pipes belts covers ect I've not had time to find and inspect the water pump yet, though the top timing cover is worn through where the belt rubbed through it.
When I have a chance il piece everything together to see just what went wrong at such low mileage!
The only d3 engine I could source here today has 80k on it if you could believe the breaker and they want £1500stg for it bare or £2000 complete with pump injectors and manifold!
At this rate I may end up breaking it.
Thanks for the reply clan.

Clan would you know if the 2009 d5 head has the same mounting brackets as the d3? Looking about a flood damaged engine for the head at the moment.

Clan just seen your reply via pm and thankou for taking the time to look.
I've missed out on the breaker so it's back to the searching once again.
You are correct about the tensioner being the hydraulic type tho the mechanic that stripped it before I bought it assured the owner it was the coolant pump give up. Still not seen the fanbelt or coolant pump for myself tho.

These heads are proving hard to get. Does any of the early s40 d5 engines have the same mounting lugs on the head? Anyone got a pic of the s40/c30 d5 engine mountings on the cam belt side?
