Hi Barry.
Running it in the air is perfectly ok to do.
Tyres arent a premium brand but it has a surprisingly high amount of grip and the weather hasnt always been cold/wet so dont think it is either of your suggestions. Thanks anyway.
Keep them coming.

Iv ftted a new abs ring, old one looked ok.
Changed the wheel bearing too and fitted new drive axle bolt.
Problem still exists.
At least one suspension bush is worn so wonder whether its effectively altered the tracking, causing scrub which the stability control is picking up.
Iv ordered new bottom arms for the front, will do these and then review.

If you have a iCarsoft or Vida etcs then drive it while someone monitors the wheel speed for each wheel, could be an ABS sensor and/or wiring which has failed.

Edit
Also could be a steering angle sensor issue, may need calibrating/replacing but you'll need to data log to see what's happening

Sounds silly but check you haven't got a binding caliper, not likely to show up with the wheels in the air but might show up on the road, i've known of that playing silly burgers with TCS systems.

Thank you for both the replies.
I thought steering angle sensor - how do I get it reset or whatever is required.

I will check for a binding caliper. Thank you.

Iv just put infrared temp gun on each caliper, temp varies between 19-25degrees C.
I will drive it a bit harder and try them again.

OS rear disc is bit warmer than the rest but nothing dramatic.

Im not convinced its wheel speed sensor because it only does it above 40mph on right hand bends.

Can you hear any wheel bearing noise at all over 40-50mph? If so is it coming from the N/S/F wheel area?

I'm thinking maybe under load, i.e. fast right hander putting all the load on the N/S/F wheel the bearing might be binding and causing a problem.

Also are you able to read any codes from the system? That would probably be helpful too!

Wheel bearings good as that was one of my thoughts.

Iv got a CRP123 premium diagnostic device and this read no codes but then it wouldnt connect to every system.

To try and resolve this problem and fix some other issues like vague steering Iv replaced the lower arms, bushes ball joints drop links and had a 4 wheel alignment done.

Its worse than ever.

Now I think it is steering angle sensor, as its going round corners really well. 42mph ish and above with just a slight right hand turn on wakens the abs pump and light flickers on the dash. At such little steering angle and with near damn perfect geometry there is no way the car is sliding or skidding.

So the question is, who on here near Cheshire can reset this parameter for me, obviously I will pay.
If not is it a main dealer jobby?
