If you want decent quality POI files for your nav unit look at pocketgpsworld, we know their speed camera files work but they also offer loads of other POI files for free - Mike

Indeed...I think we are all too aware of problems with cars or new car systems that are in their 1st year...I'm looking at at least buying a MY13 XC60 when they are available...so intrigued more by what the latest software and maps update DVDs have to offer the Sensus RTI system...or not!

However the speed/traffic light cameras issue is not a biggie for me as I think what most of you have done by subscribing to a database provider is the best way forward for these type of PoIs in order to keep them as up to date as possible...I'd only hope the provider lets you know when a new database is available and provides the database in an easy to import format to the Sensus RTI system.

Be nice when the Sensus RTI system connects with an internet capable Volvo to get updates automatically as they become available over the web...

Totally agree with you...and is probably the way of the future...hence why the import feature is now offered by Volvo on the Sensus RTI system

Hi,

The speed limit of the current road is quite useful, but again not always correct and needs an update!

The POI import facilty is only via the USB port and requires a file in GPX format 1.1

This is what I am downloading on a weekly basis from the speed camera web site, it is very easy to do, but of course does not understand direction of travel which is a bit of a pain to say the least.

It would be great if the next update did have speed cameras, but it seems to be a long time coming!
