Default small puff of smoke with oily exhaust smell

I have just had a new radiator fitted to my T5 and now have a wierd issue. After a spirited drive the car puffs a small bit of smoke from the bonnet then I get an oily exhaust smell, and cannot work out where it's coming from as nothing is leaking and none of the vacuum pipes are split or missing/loose.

I noticed after sitting behind another car this evening that theres still a puff of smoke, that's how I found the radiator had cracked.

Any ideas ?

Default smoke

PCV was replaced before christmas when I melted a couple of exhaust valves from pushing too much boost and low grade supermarket fuel.

I'm with villan on this. I had a similar problem but smoke was coming out the exhaust.

Turned out to be the return pipes o ring had failed. It's a simple fix (trust me if I can do it, anyone can lol) costs under 5 notes for the o ring and gasket and its only 3 bolts. The hardest part is getting to it as its tucked at the back of the engine.

To check if its your problem just climb under the car and see if the underside of the turbo has oil on it.

oil leak from cam cover onto exhaust manifold or downpipe/turbo probably unrelated to rad change.
