Tailgate central locking motor on 855

Just repaired my jammed rear wiper. Whilst the trim is off (and all the clips snapped) I thought I'd take a look at the rear central locking unit.

It used to work fine, but a while back the unit started 'jamming'. i.e. remote would lock all doors ok but tailgate would not lock etc. or doors would unlock ok except the tailgate.

This confused the alarm so sometimes when i went in the car the alarm would trigger.

Anyway, i have disconnected the central locking for the tailgate and everything works fine, however with it connected, if i lock/unlock the tailgate with the key whilst listening to the motor, i can clearly hear it. Most of the times though its as if the motor is struggeling to turn something. Sometimes it locks, other times it doesent, hit and miss.

The wiring to the tailgate is all fine so its nothing to do with this.

Has anybody dismantled the rear central locking motor, i'm thinking it may need greasing etc ???
