Default XC70 alarm

I have bought back a low mileage 2006 XC70 I regretted selling. I remember now an issue it had and it has come back to haunt me like an episode of deja-vu.... The bloody alarm.. It hollers when it is cold weather regardless of whether the car is locked or not. The old fella I sold the car to had it checked out and the battery replaced but it still howled its disapproval of cold weather. Is pulling the fuse the solution? Is it fuse 4? Or do I set about the siren with a hammer?

Easy just replace the siren ... you need an alarm to satisfy your insurance obligations ..

I just did mine recently - I got the kit from Germany from Skandix. The box also comes with a new bonnet lock unit too but you don't need to use it.
