Default Climate Control issues

Evening,

Hoping someone can help me figure out the cause of a fault.

2009 2.0D V50 RDesign

The climate control will no longer open the dash vent at all, I can get windscreen and floor, but not convinced they are fully open. Fan control doesn't appear to always correspond with the display. Heat/cold appears to work fine as does the aircon. Auto seems to shut the system off altogether regardless of the temp requested.

I have checked all fuses.

Been to local specialist indie, trust them, they have been very helpful and reliable with other aspects of the car over the years. When he plugged it in found all dampers unresponsive and they wouldn't re-calibrate.

Left it there as felt it would spiral cost wise having read on forums that whole dash might need to come out.

So I stumbled upon a used CCM on ebay and as a punt I got it, plugged it in and the system still doesn't work correctly and has most of the same issues but I can get some windscreen, full dash and no floor.

I fully expected it either work properly (optimistic) or remain broken in the same way? any advice on what to check next appreciated as it would appear the dampers do function.

Default vents and heater not workign

Similar problem here with my car , did you have any resolution on this issue ?

I have replaced the cabin thermometer in the heaterbox on the passenger side footwell , no change .. It is blowing and is heating , but no air , or very little get s through to the cabin no matter what setting the selector is put on ...

Iwas going to try and replace the little stepper motor which ive managed to procure on ebay , will see if that makes a difference..

will keep you posted

Vida would tell you if sensors and many other CCM components aren't working and it costs much less than blindly firing the parts cannon at a problem.

No I never fixed it, I haven't been to well recently (on the mend) and cant drive again till May. Cars been parked since December.

I have a new issue in that the car is letting water in somewhere, I did read this could be the cabin filter inlet but not been able to look into it.

Trying to get someone to take it down to local indie and have them try calibrating on the new CCM.

Considering taking dash out, but yeah no idea whats actually busted? my water issue could just be shorting something out.

Yeah Vida, sounds like a right can of worms getting it to work and a genuine version cable etc....but would massively help if anyone's local with it?
